About Proactive

Woman looking out window

Are you tired of feeling held back by pain, limited range of motion, or just a sense that your health could be better than it is? Pain from an injury or a chronic condition can impact your daily life, your relationships, and your overall well-being. Even seemingly subtle things like emotional and mental stressors, poor nutrition and lack of hydration can have a big effect on your well-being. Many people are reactive, waiting until there is a problem to address, and then taking action.

Feeling stuck?

It’s time to break free!

You don’t have to live with chronic pain, stiffness or anxiety. Most illness or injury is preventable. In my 25+ plus years in healthcare, I have seen too many people get injured or become sicker, when it didn’t need to happen — because no one slowed down, looked at the whole picture, or taught them how their body actually works.

A new day is here.

I want to change that, and I am here to help restore you to optimal health. Frustration with reactive medicine and quick fixes fostered in me a desire to empower my patients, not just treat them.

What drives my work is seeing how often people accept pain, limitation, or repeated injury as “just part of life” — when it doesn’t have to be.

I believe most breakdowns in the body happen long before a diagnosis or major injury appears. Subtle warning signs, poor recovery, chronic stress, and inefficient movement patterns are often ignored until something finally forces people to stop.

A path forward

My goal is to help clients understand their bodies, recognize those signals early, and take a proactive approach to health — so they can stay active, capable, and confident for years to come.

I believe that injuries and chronic issues rarely come from one bad day — they develop when the body isn’t given the time to recover, and the support it needs, over time. Pain isn’t something to ignore or simply accept as part of aging; it’s information that helps us understand what’s really going on beneath the surface. By looking for root causes and viewing the body as a whole, I focus on the bigger picture rather than isolated symptoms.

A new you

I work with each client individually, helping them to understand their bodies and learn how to manage their health proactively, so they can stay resilient and avoid unnecessary setbacks.

As part of your whole-person assessment, we will explore how patterns in your health history, lifestyle factors (such as sleep, stress, and work) and any current pain patterns may impact your health and well-being.

Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, we will explore why your symptoms are occurring in the first place. We will dive into the importance of movement quality and how it impacts posture, joint mobility and fundamental movement patterns. My goal is to provide you with education that will build independence, and help you feel great!

A Holistic Heart

My background in physical and occupational therapy has provided a strong foundation for a career in holistic health. In my 25+ years of experience in the healing field, I have learned that our amazing bodies are not simply a sum of many parts, but that those parts work together, like a complex machine. I’m thankful for my experience, as it has given me the tools to understand how the human body works, holistically.

Are you ready to take the first step to living a healthy, happy life? If you are, I’m ready to go on the journey with you. Join me.

“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
